Three weeks of vacation gave us the opportunity to visit Ecuador: a country that had been on our wish list for a long time. The mountains, the Amazon forest and the Galapagos made us dream in advance.

During the preparation of our trip we got to know Tom from Descubre Ecuador. A few emails and a skype conversation allowed us to prepare our trip with ease: Tom drew up an itinerary, taking into account our wishes and expectations, and we indicated what was to our liking.

While setting up, Tom was also able to immediately reassure us when in doubt and answer all our practical (luggage essentials) questions. The trip covered all aspects of Ecuador very nicely and we walked from one surprise to another. Tom made sure we arrived safely in the jungle and definitely recommended the dive in the Amazon (among the caimans). He accompanied us in the mountains during a tough hike at the Quilotoa crater and together we admired the views from Chimborazo (5000m).

The explanations we received from Tom during the walks, as well as from the other volunteers in Inti Sisa (Guamote), brought us back to our feet for a while. We learned a lot and it will always have a place in our hearts! In summary, we experienced a wonderful trip, with lots of 'wow' moments that we will cherish forever!
